KEES (pronounced ‘case’) was born in Holland in 1947. His family came to Canada in 1951 and became Canadian citizens in 1964. After graduation from an Ontario high school, he began a successful banking career that spanned over sixteen years. In 1971, he met Faith. They were married in 1972 and have two adult children. Kees accepted Jesus as his personal Lord and Saviour and received his call to the ministry in April of 1981.
Kees graduated from RHEMA Bible Training Center in Tulsa, OK in 1985. Unable to work secularly because of U.S. immigration laws, Kees and the family experienced first-hand God’s miraculous provision to meet their financial needs during the two years of training at RHEMA.
In 1990, five years after graduation, God’s apostolic commission upon his life became evident. Holy Spirit re-directed him to Matthew 9:35-38, one particular scripture given to him in 1981 to confirm his calling. Here we see that Jesus went from town to town teaching and preaching the Word of God to the people, looking upon them as sheep with no shepherd, and giving instruction that prayer should be presented to God for labourers. God’s apostolic calling to plant new churches became clear. Since then, eight churches have been pioneered, one in New York State, one in Michigan and six in Ontario. In addition to church planting, Kees is founder and president of a ministerial organization and is a speaker at ministerial conferences. He has also been a guest panelist in a live, open-line, Christian television program and an instructor at a Toronto Bible school. In 2011, he received his Doctorate.
FAITH was born in Toronto in 1947 and was raised and educated there. Her early spiritual life was spent in the Anglican (Episcopal) Church. Faith accepted Jesus when she was 7 years of age. At 19 years of age, she was baptized in the Holy Spirit and received her call to the ministry. She held positions with the Ontario Department of Labour, Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and the Ontario Provincial Police before resigning in 1973 to start a family. She has personally experienced the healing power of God in her own life.
Faith graduated from RHEMA Bible Training Center in Tulsa, OK in 1985. The calling upon her life has not been easy to fulfill because of the religious traditions of man as they pertain to women in the pulpit. Notwithstanding, she co-pastors with her husband and is just as much a part of the apostolic call, for it was to her that God first spoke of planting churches. He compared them to lighthouses on a channel filled with danger. From these churches, the Word of God is to flow bringing hope and faith by illuminating the pathway of the saints in a world filled with darkness.
Faith has a strong desire to teach and train God’s people, to make disciples and equip them to do the work of the ministry as instructed in Ephesians 4:12. She is a speaker at leadership and ministerial conferences, women’s advances and has also been an instructor at a Toronto Bible school.
MATTHEW was born in Fergus, Ontario. In 1977, he came to know the Lord at the age of five. He met his wife, Jessica, while attending RHEMA Bible Training Center. They were married in 1999 and are the parents of three children.
Matthew has served in the ministry in a variety of capacities since 2001. In addition to various pastoral roles, he has led missions trips to Peru, Mexico, Jamaica and Texas. He has trained missionaries for effective leadership and ministry. Matthew is also an instructor at the RHEMA Bible Training Center campuses in Montreal, Drummondville and Quebec City in Quebec, Canada and in RHEMA Haiti.
Since April 2010, Matthew has served as pastor of Living Faith Christian Church in Collingwood, Ontario.
GAETANO was born in Toronto, Ontario. On December 2nd, 1981 he attended a prayer group meeting where he accepted Jesus Christ as Lord over his life. He served as a church administrator for thirteen years and then became the associate pastor of the same church.
In January 1995 the work was continued at Bible Faith Church with Dr. Gaetano Sicilia as the Senior Pastor. With it’s motto of, “A growing church with you in mind,” the ministry continues to reach out to the community and strives to develop the gifts and talents of those who attend. Gaetano has earned degrees from York University in Toronto and School of Bible Theology Seminary in San Jacinto, CA, USA, where he is now a member of the faculty. In 2013, he assumed a second pastorate in Pickering.
Gaetano, his wife Natalie and their children continue to rejoice in the work that the Lord has called them to do.
